OSVchannel: iGMB Video Review

UPDATE (9/14/12): We said “14 albums,” but there are actually 15! This video totally skips over the soundtrack for “Mecho Wars HD” by Sean Beeson. As such, we will have an in-depth review of that album up in the coming days. Keep your eyes peeled!

Last week, when we announced [1] the new bundle from gamemusicbundle.com [2], we asked you to give us ideas about what we should do to cover the new bundle. For GMB2 we interviewed every composer in the bundle; for GMB3 we reviewed every album individually.

One reader wrote in and suggested we do a single video review for all the albums on the iGMB. Dear reader, enjoy! We deliver!

The review comes off more like a commercial, mostly because I like (almost) every album in the bundle. Enjoy!

Very cool! I like this format because I think writing reviews for that many soundtracks would be MANY MANY words and this is a fast way to cover all the game at once.

This is great. One of the best things on OSV. Also, you left out Mecho Wars?

I kept trying to come up with another female chiptune artist besides Chipzel and couldn’t think of one either. I’m a little curious if there are any others at all, to be honest. Plenty of regular female composers out there but seemingly a void of them specializing in chiptunes.

Cool video though. I see the obligatory downvote YouTube troll came about to give it the thumbs down. 🙁

Jayson — Thanks for the priase, and YES it seems I did leave out Mecho Wars! CRAP! I’ll make up for this by doing a thorough text-based review. Hopefully Sean Beeson won’t punch me in the face for this.

Sergio — NoiseChan is such a good show. I’d not heard that one before. That certainly is an eye-opener. Thanks much for that!

Yeah, main one I would have thrown out there was Chibi-tech.

I am totally going to punch you in the face for leaving out Mecho Wars HD 😀 Haha. Just kidding. I am just happy that composers are being recognized by you! I am happy for all of us regardless if i get reviewed.

As long as you didn’t super hate my music! It is kind of an eclectic, different, score but hopefully fun nonetheless!
