Yesterday, Lord of the Rings Online composer Chance Thomas posted the above photo on his Facebook wall.
Now I know MMO nuts are currently either enjoying or tearing apart the new WoW expansion Mists of Pandaria (and we’ll have something to say about that soundtrack in the weeks to come!). But for my money, I’m more excited about LOTRO’s upcoming expansion, Riders of Rohan (which goes live October 15, 2012). The above CD, I’m not sure yet if that will be a “collector’s edition only” album (as past LOTRO soundtracks have been) or if that will be available for separate, retail purchase.
Hopefully we’ll get a chance to listen to the RoR soundtrack in full too so we can report our findings on Thomas’ latest as well.
Something worth mentioning is that beyond the hand, there appears to be a box full of copies of the CD.
