If you try really hard, you may remember back to last week when we fell in love with Swedish artist Mikael Fyrek’s new release on the Kahvi label, A Thousand Years and One. Well, here’s another release out of Sweden featuring a distinctly different style: Looking Back while Stepping Up EP by newcomer Suecae Sounds.

This free release on the Mephtik Netlabel (which I admittedly own and operate) is Suecae Sound’s first official offering to the world, featuring three tracks of experimental electronic music.

Read more after the jump.

The EP starts with “Jag Som Ingenting,” which is an odd (Swedish?) vocal track that is inexplicably addictive. I dig the bell arpeggios and the funked up bass line. The remaining tracks, “Inside These Walls” and “Watching While The World Goes By” offer driving percussion and a great atmosphere.

While this is Suecae Sound’s first release, we’ll be following this artist to see what he does next. Are you having trouble getting “Jag Som Ingenting” out of your head?
